February Primary Aluminum Production Report
According to data from the International Aluminium Institute, global primary aluminum production in February 2024 was 55.44 million tons, compared to 53.34 million tons for the same period last year and a revised figure of 60.62 million tons for the previous month. The daily average production of primary aluminum in February was 191,200 tons, down from 195,500 tons in the previous month. China's primary aluminum production reached a final value of 3.3512 million tons, marking a year-on-year increase of 7.57% but a month-on-month decrease of 6.62%. The operating rate of aluminum plants was 93.41%, showing a year-on-year increase of 4.93% but a month-on-month decrease of 0.09%. The capacity utilization rate was 93.55%, up 3.35% year-on-year but down 0.18% month-on-month. The daily average production was 115,600 tons, representing a year-on-year increase of 4,300 tons but a month-on-month decrease of 200 tons.
