The U.S. Issues Final Determination on Anti-Dumping and Countervailing Duties for Aluminum Tableware
On March 4, 2025, the U.S. Department of Commerce announced its final determination in the anti-dumping investigation on disposable aluminum containers, pans, trays, and lids imported from China. It ruled that Chinese producers/exporters had dumping margins ranging from 193.90% to 287.80%. The specific duty rates are detailed in the attached table.
At the same time, the U.S. Department of Commerce also issued its final determination in the countervailing duty investigation on Chinese aluminum tableware. It ruled that Henan Aluminium Corporation and Zhejiang Acumen Living Technology Co., Ltd., both of which did not participate in the response, would be subject to a countervailing duty rate of 317.85%. Other Chinese producers/exporters are also subject to the same rate of 317.85%.
The U.S. International Trade Commission (ITC) is expected to make its final determination on anti-dumping and countervailing duty-related injury on April 18, 2025. This case primarily concerns products classified under U.S. Customs code 7615.10.7125.
On June 6, 2024, the U.S. Department of Commerce initiated anti-dumping and countervailing duty investigations on aluminum tableware imported from China. On October 22, 2024, the Department issued a preliminary countervailing duty determination. Later, on December 20, 2024, it announced its preliminary anti-dumping determination.
